Primary 1 have been busy learning all about staying safe on our roads!
This week, we explored the importance of following the key steps: Stop, Look and Listen. We also discussed why wearing bright colours helps us stay visible and safe when we are out and about.
To put our learning into practice, we went on a class walk to try out our new road safety skills. The children were fantastic at checking up and down our busy roads and watching carefully at different types of junctions. We also talked about how important it is to always hold an adult’s hand when crossing the road.
To celebrate all their hard work, every child received a certificate recognising their achievement.
